Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations for all ages are available during surgery times by appointment with our nurses.

Seasonal flu vaccinations

The seasonal influenza vaccination programme starts around the end of September each year. We will send out text reminders each year to invite patients in for their vaccination, but patients can also contact us for an appointment during this period.

Influenza can spread very easily through droplets within a cough or sneeze. The vaccination has been shown to be effective and we offer the vaccination to patients in the following categories

  • over the age of 65
  • patients who are pregnant
  • those with a chronic health condition.

We also invite children aged 2-4 for an intranasal vaccination

Please also let us know if you do not want the vaccination or have had it elsewhere so we can update your records or stop sending reminders.

Medicals and forms

The doctors receive various requests for insurance forms  or medicals to be completed. No information is released unless the documents have the signed consent of the patient. Mostly these forms and medicals are paid for by the companies however, if they are not the doctor may charge you for the completion as this work is regarded as being outside of their GMS Contract. If you have any forms for completion, please ask at reception for advice.
